DataSolutions revenues have grown by 34pc to €40m for the year ending March 31, the specialist IT distributor has announced.

In the past three years, the Dublin-based company has doubled its business and expects to grow to €80m by 2021.
Following a €5m investment to expand overseas, the UK market now accounts for 30pc of DataSolutions’ business, with the expectation of raising that to 50pc over the next three years.
Growth is expected to continue both in Ireland and in the UK as the company is developing an expansion fund, part of which is ear-marked for acquisitions of complementary businesses
Group managing director Michael O’Hara said that building the brand in the UK has been an ” exciting but challenging experience”.
“Establishing a foothold in the UK opens huge possibilities for us and doing so in advance of Brexit is something that we feel is a smart step in future-proofing the business from whatever the final outcome may be,” he said.
Earlier this year, DataSolutions invested €105,000 in helping its partners generate additional sales through the demonstration of new technologies.
Two initiatives, Citrix Cloud Labs and the Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) Hub, were introduced which allow resellers show potential customers the business benefits of their solutions.
The company attributes its ongoing success to this commitment to investing in disruptive, high-growth sectors.
Datasolutions is also benefiting from recent trends such as Irish firms increasing their online security spend in response to the growing sophistication of cyber crime.
